A fabulous day for Molson Coors and Whizz Kidz! Just 8 teams raised an amazing £8,600+ as well as having a very competitive and fun packed series of dragon boat races. A very high standard has been set by these enthusiastic paddlers. You may be interested to know that just over £2m. has been raised from across all our events
since we launched with you all those years ago . You can all take massive credit
for that . We hope to hit the £2m at Bewl next year , £200,000 to go . Over 10,000
paddling for over 200 charities .
As I have mentioned , I wanted to express our sincere thanks for an excellent year’s
delivery from your team . I know we have worked together for coming up to 14 years
and you all helped us all the way through , learning about what the hell we had got ourselves
in to . That in itself has been quite a journey . The key is we are as good as the last five minutes ,
the last event , the atmosphere , the performance , the planning , the full monte .
I wanted to make a point about this year because we hit 4 events , not earth shattering but
challenging enough for us . Everyone who helped us create them , set them up , managed them ,
ran them …..did anything on our events was terrific this year .
Adminstration, quotes, pricing, logistics, flexibility in dealing with expansion and contraction, facilities, equipment etc. all dealt with in the usual professional manner.
The event manager in the new venue at Warwick arrived the day before to ensure
that the best racing and viewing position for us did not disrupt the boat hire company from operating
(this saved us venue hire/income replacement charge). The result was a smooth operation,
and a great atmosphere . Whole team gave it their all, great interaction which lead to us being invited back next year.
Bewl was Bewl. The biggest event in Europe. 100 teams, great planning and event management . All the team throw themselves in to
Bewl with little rest , great through put and smooth running , atmosphere is unbeatable and those
teams just love it . Lots of help lending and putting up pop ups. Three days of
superb team work . You should be proud , even down to your branded kit and finishing on time!
Bristol was also a real result. Noise levels,
safety boats requirements, health & safety and marina compliance regulations all adhered to.
Really well managed and again the whole team did a superb job
with great humour .
A very professional organisation we are proud to be associated with who show patience with our
more quirky needs and deliver fantastic events for the teams . Onward and upward .
Really well done to everyone. See you in 2011. We’ll be back .
